I am a 2005 graduate of Moanalua High School and 2009 graduate of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. I am currently finishing my Master of Education degree at Hawaiʻi Pacific University, and am in my third year as a mathematics teacher at Moanalua High School.
I wish to showcase the wonderful beauty of mathematics to my students, and the lessons that come with a serious study of mathematics. I strongly believe that mathematics study helps individuals develop critical thinking, problem solving skills, and academic discipline. Outside the classroom, my personal interests include listening to music (primarily Hawaiian), watching television shows (my current favorite is NCIS), playing video games (anything The Legend of Zelda), and chatting with my friends on Facebook or Stephen Tsai's The Warrior Beat (Honolulu Star-Advertiser) blog. In addition, I serve as the Technology Officer for the Oʻahu Mathematics League, as well as the Webmaster, Secretary, and Youth Sunday School teacher at my church. |
